I wanted to thank all of you for your patience with me over the last ten days. I know posting has been a bit slow and scattered. Unlike many other blogs I am the only writer here at Commissary Deals. So that means every post, 24 hours a day, is posted by me. So when I am sick, on vacation, or super busy I am still on here posting. So sometimes it gets a bit hard to stay on top of everything.

The last ten days I have been out of town visiting with family and also house hunting at our next duty station. We are due to PCS in just over a month! So we flew out and went house hunting at our new location. We ended up finding a home that we love and we are now in escrow. I am super excited to soon be a homeowner. The house is brand new and still being built! Luckily it will be done by the time we arrive. In case you are curious above is a model of the home we purchased. It’s 5 beds, 3 baths, 2800 sq ft – I love it! I know it never would have been possible without couponing. It taught me to budget well, live frugally, and save, save, save.

We are now back home and posting will get back to normal. Thank you everyone for your patience!!

Make sure you check out all our current Commissary Deals!

  1. How awesome! What a beautiful home. Couponing has made so many things within reach for my family too, but I love that you also mention budgeting and saving. I think a lot of people don’t realize that it’s about more than just the coupons – It’s a lifestyle change and a new way of thinking about money. Good luck at your next duty station. I wish our house hunt had been as successful :)

  2. Lauren & Amy,

I totally agree with you two! I really didn’t know I had done a mind shift until I went to Vegas. I was always all in to spend my money at the casino on the chance I’d really hit something big. I had been couponing for 7 months when I went to Vegas and the first $20 I put in the machine made me feel down right sick. I thought “I don’t pay full price for anything and I’m just throwing my money away?”. I really love how couponing as really changed my mind set about budgeting and saving. Amy, your house is beautiful, I hope you enjoy your new location.

  3. What a gorgeous house!!! Huge congrats! :)
