For more than two years I have dedicated myself to posting deals and sharing matchups here at Commissary Deals. Every day, even when sick or on vacation, I have been online finding deals and posting them for all of you. Even when we PCSed across the country I was here every day. All by myself – nobody else has ever touched this website. But life goes on and its time for me to follow my dreams. I have recently been accepted full time into a wonderful nursing program and I am going to become an RN. Between nursing school, hubby deploying, and raising four kids I have made the decision to let Commissary Deals go. My family is going to get my full attention. While I love this site I am dedicating myself to activities outside the computer. From now until school starts I’m going to spend time enjoying my family and taking several vacations without a computer tied to my hip. I’m going to work in the yard and study without the guilt of missing that coupon or deal that I should have posted. I’m going to enjoy some freedom. Then hubby will deploy and I will start school – and every free minute I have outside school or studying will be dedicated to my family.

This is bittersweet for me. I have poured my heart, soul, and a ridiculous amount of hours into Commissary Deals. I am excited for this next adventure but its hard letting go. I’m not going to shut down Commissary Deals completely. The website will still be up and I’m sure I will come post every once in a while. But I’m not going to feel guilty if I don’t. IBotta has added a few new things to their app, such as great bonuses you can earn. If you haven’t yet downloaded the app now is the time! New members will get a $2.00 bonus just for signing up and making two purchases within the first two weeks. With Ibotta you get money back (via paypal) for buying certain products. It’s a great way to get some amazing deals. They don’t care if you use coupons on the products so you can often make money in the end. They now have added to that bonuses for certain activities such as buying products four weeks in a row and buying certain products from Walmart or Target. Dream Non Dairy has a hot coupon up on their Facebook page right now I recommend you print ASAP. Head over there and like them to print a coupon for $2.00 off Any One Dream Non Dairy Beverage or Frozen Desert. The Shelf Stable Rice Dream is regularly $1.99 at the Commissary, and frequently drops down to $1.49. That means you can grab them for free with the coupon, and possibly get a bit of overage as well. You will be able to get this for pretty cheap at most stores with this coupon. I haven’t ever seen such a high value from them before so I recommend you print it ASAP.

Freebies with Commissary Rewards Card

The Commissary Rewards card has some hot freebies right now that you can load onto your card. I think the Commissary is realizing their selection of coupons was not enough to motivate us to use are cards, and are now upping the game. They have loaded several free items onto their website. Head on over to register/login and load your freebies to you card. There are also lots of other coupons that you can load as well. Keep in mind you cannot use a paper coupon with the e-coupons and any e-coupon will override the use of a paper coupon (for example you have a $1/1 paper coupon, and a .50/1 electronic coupon only the .50/1 electronic coupon can be used).
